What I’m watching: a fantastic example of what a film can do with a great subject (Bob Dylan) and a phenomenal actress (Cate Blanchett).

Would love to see this – what do you make of the other actors in it?

The other actors portraying some version of Bob Dylan were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the young boy, Marcus Carl Franklin, who played the Woody Guthrie-loving Dylan persona. Overall, there was a lot of subtlety, which is something I always love in a movie. And, while other characters were somewhat sparse, they were perfect foils for the various Dylan characters. You should definitely watch it. I’m wondering what took me so long.
