Forgive me if this reminds you of a motivational poster. This scene was, in fact, one of the most breathtaking I’ve had the pleasure to witness. I grabbed this shot at sunset from the idyllic beaches of Arena Blanca, Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea. Such a vast expanse of unspoiled beauty exists in this place. While scientists are, even now, hard at work promoting conservation of biodiversity in the face of encroaching development on Bioko Island, examples of humans existing in harmony with the environment are plentiful.
